Wednesday Night Bible Study

Come and join us Wednesday evening at 7 PM as we study and explore the Bible together.

The Power of God's Word

Hebrews 4:12 - For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Jeremiah 23:29 - Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?

2 Timothy 3:16-17 - All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Matthew 4:4 - 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.'

Romans 15:4 - For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

1 Peter 1:24-25 - For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

Psalm 119:105 - Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Isaiah 55:11 - So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Vacation Plans
I cannot take long leisurely vacations
In the green peace of some high mount crest,
But I can give my often-voiced vexations
A lone-delayed and greatly needed rest.

I cannot take a trip to some far shore
But I can give complaints a holiday,
And little criticisms, by the score,
I'm packing up and sending far away.

The habits of being anxious and doubting,
And making tart remarks that need amends,
I'm going to give a long and peaceful outing
All summer long; and when the summer ends
I shall be glad, indeed, if they should shirk
The woeful task of going back to work.
